I am on the job market for the 2009-2010 academic year. Please check out my teaching statement, research statement, and CV. I've been a Visiting Assistant Professor at Colgate University since the Fall 2006 semester. How on earth did I end up visiting faculty for four years? Locally optimal decisions sometimes lead to strange global outcomes! I did my graduate work at the University of Maryland in the Department of Computer Science, where my advisor was Bill Pugh. I earned my PhD in December, 2006. My research focuses on software engineering. I study the version control repositories of both large and small software projects. My current research projects are covered in lots of detail in my research statement. I spend most of my free time in Scranton with my fiancee watching DVDs and cooking large amounts of food. I have a blog that I update between 0 and 4 times per month. The best place to find information about me online is Facebook. I went to Haverford College for my undergrad where I majored in English and Computer Science, and wrote my senior thesis on Derek Walcott's epic poem "Omeros". |
